|If your tooth severely damaged and is beyond repair with a simple filling, we may recommend a crown to save such a tooth. The benefits of this type of restoration are strength, durability, cosmetic appearance, and overall support of the chewing function.
Crowns used to be made from gold, but are now most commonly made from ceramic.
|Crowns are a custom made restoration and are colour matched to the adjacent teeth. Therefore, you can be comfortable in knowing that your new tooth will be virtually unnoticeable. Most other clinics do crowns in multiple visits. However our clinic has invested in a CAD/CAM technology which we 3D print your tooth from ceramic on the spot. The benefit of this is time saving and our dentist have full controls over the entire manufacturing process instead of relying on a 3rd party dental laboratory. Getting this system set up at our clinic was costly but the ability it gives us to provide a higher quality treatment to our patients is worth it.|
